Brookfield, entitled «A Haircut Changes Everything», offers a wonderfully cheeky reinterpretation of that seminal portrait— though I must confess a preference for the smirk gracing our local variant. Elevating the intrinsic artistic merits of this masterpiece is its choice of position. Whoever placed it in direct visual dialogue with the portrait of the nurse adjacent to our own Gioconda is a minor genius. |

One should politely ignore the memento mori detailing the inexorable passage of time lurking in the background; we are entirely serious about maintaining a light and comical atmosphere here. |
