Sefton Young Artist of the Year 2026

An exhibit of Sefton’s most promising artists is being housed by the Atkinson Museums' top floor– which is, as we all know, their most important floor.

While all of the works displayed therein are equally awesome, I only could only photograph a few, for my phone had almost no battery left. So, in no particular order, here are some of the works displayed that will be displayed until the end of august.

Above, a Dalí inspired piece by Edie; don't miss the details in the marble! Below, a piece by Lydia that perfectly captures the synesthetic feeling of the sensation of an incoming subway car.

The photo doesn't do justice to «The woman with the wistful gaze» by Matthew, an oil with a very classical feeling.

«Nostalgia» by Alice perfectly documents our childhood memories of beloved pets, teddies, toys, and our own happy innocence.
